Production Logo

Our Logo is a reflection of our group, young, sexy and to the point. The ‘RAGE’ ents is a collaboration of the first letters of our names. We were going to at first have two production logo’s, as we each constructed one individually,but we decided to go with this one as it looked so appealing and unique. We created this in Adobe Photoshop, which had all the software we needed to make the logo look very professional. I believe the logo is very strong and is a clear representation of ourfilm and our group. A clear convention and theme is running throughout also. The red lipstick. This is key as already specified red is a sign of Love, and danger. It is also very appealing and alluring. We tested individually different font’s on the typography website http://www.cooltext.com/, and others. As we had already for title font’s tried this website we felt none of the font’s really complimented the feel of the picture. On Adobe we found a simple textthat went with our theme and picture equally called, ‘Chiller’. It looked great. We had taken the original photo by taking a picture of my finger to my lips. We then flipped it in Photoshop and made it look sexy by cartoonising it, adding some Gaussian blur to areas and fighting with the pen tool, to single out the lips and finally colour them red.

To make this already brilliant logo even better we wanted to add some animation. For this we had to import the jpeg into Adobe After effects and basically play around. We experimented with speed scale and other various tools. Finally we adjusted the speed and positioning and the direction of the anchors the Logo would follow, to become and animation.

With this we managed to create a 5 second animation that introduced us as an entertainment organization well. Our logo did what it should, engage, appeal and establish who we are, so that people know who produced the film.

- This is the logo i produced whilst we were coming up with names for our film. My inspiration for this logo was the'Working title film' logo, which i believed to be very professional, smart simple and direct. Stating exactly who they are.

After producing the logo, animation and everything we then once showing our rough cut to the class, saw how plain it looked on screen. We then decided that the background should incorporate the theme also. Thankfully Adobe After Effects had backgrounds, of which we found a suitable on and imported it right in.
